SYDO is commited to the development of somali children and youth and intends to provide social,cultural and educational activities to help them achieve their potential.
Our objectives are :
- Tackle social exclusion within the somali community
- Address poor educational achievments of somali pupils
- Develop somali youth and improve their skills to develop their potential
- Tackle anti-social behaviour of young people
- Support parents
- Recognise the significance of community language (Somali Language) and culture and its relationship to educational achievment.
- Identify and address the socio-economic difficulties of members of the somali community in housing,health services , education , employment and other areas.
